Nice to meet you

Hello, for those of you who don't know me, my name is Quinn Coats. I'm an Interior Designer in the Kansas City area and have been for more than 7 years with an undergrad and masters specializing in art and a can-do attitude anything we put our minds to, this shouldn't be as surprising to me as it is. However, I still wake up surprised that this is my life.

I'll rewind a touch. I have been an art teacher for around 15 years, along with coaching cross country and track. I love helping young people put onto paper the thoughts from their heads.

However, I have itchy feet to grow, evolve and learn more. Do you ever feel that way? One side hustle later, the fear of launching a business was dulled and when my friend was in need of an interior designer for his short-term rentals I jumped at the opportunity. "I can do that" I said! "What is your vision? I can tailor the space to your style."

That was 7 years ago. I have worked in almost 100 homes and love hearing the clients' needs and working hard to make their spaces gorgeous, fit their style, and make their budgets happy.

I stepped away from teaching just under a year ago to focus on my design business full time. Thankfully I have been BUSY! Business has skyrocketed over the past year and am thrilled to formalize my business with my new LLC and publishing of my website!

So here I am. I'm here to help you achieve the spaces of your dreams at the price that works for you. I am skilled at shopping at a range of different price points, and I won't insist on over filling your space with things you don't need. Sometimes less is more, and good organizations and space saving methods can transform a space.

I can't wait to go with you on your interior design journey. Start with pulling back the curtains to let some light in or buy some curtains if you don't have any! That's a different blog though. Take a good look at how you feel in your space. If you love it, GREAT! If you don't love how you feel, let's change it.

By the way, these are my two cute boys, Colin and Will. They often join me in the adventures.
